Hurricane Katrina...My hope for you

It has been a week now since Katrina blew through Louisiana and Mississippi. The devestation left in its wake has been horrific. Daddy is a memeber of the McKinney Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). He was called out Friday night to the community center to check in bus loads full of evacuees from New Orleans. He told me that people where so exhausted and frustrated because they lost their homes and some have lost family memebers. Their ankles were so swollen from lack of water and being on their feet for so many days.

Sometimes we forget the things going on, even in our own country because the things around us is so happy. There is a lot of saddness in the world and there are many who are less fortunate. I hope for you to grow up with love and compassion for others. To understand a world beyond your own. To always be willing to lend a helping hand or a should for someone to cry on. You may not realize how much you have impacted someone's life, even if it is just one person...it is well worth it!

I love my baby girl!

4 days old!

I love that picture. Yes, only 2 months until they are a year old. I know I will be a sappy mess that day. Call me if you need to cry! :)
